"And I (Allâh) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone)."
Quran 51: 56
"And I (Allâh) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone)."
Quran 51: 56
Tawheed is to single God out with Lordship and worship. God chose for Himself the name ALLAH.
Allah comes from two Arabic words joined together: AL=The & illah= One worshiped.
Allah is the only One worthy of worship because He is the ONLY Lord and Creator / Originator and maintainer of ALL OF CREATION.
Allah is genderless and exists ABOVE His creation and NOT within it nor is He the sum of all of His creation or existing as a Trinity. He is unique and unlike anything we can imagine. See Quran: 112
ALL prophets and messengers including Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (May Allah be pleased with them all) Submitted to Allah with Tawheed (To single God out in Lordship and worship). This Submission is Called ISLAM and the one who submits in this manner is called a MUSLIM. Therefore all prophets and messengers were muslim by definition, including Abraham, Moses and Jesus (may Allah be pleased with them all).
Prophets can only be followed in their respective times and the prophet of our time, until the end of time (which is near), is Prophet Muhammad ibn Abdullah from the tribe of Quraish, from Mecca over 1447 years ago (sw).
Please see attached video on WHAT IS ISLAM. When you're ready to accept Islam simply testify your faith ( quietly to yourself if need be) by saying "I bare witness that there is no God worthy of worship in truth but Allah and that Prophet Muhammad is His final Messenger". That's all it takes to enter into Islam. After this take a bath and begin your five daily prayers.
Proceed to video on HOW TO PRAY (scroll down).
The Five daily prayers are:
1. Fajr: Morning prayer (Performed just before sunrise).
2. Dhur: Afternoon prayer (Performed just after the sun is no longer at its peek).
3. Asr: Late afternoon prayer (Performed when shadows are twice the size of objects).
4. Maghrib: Sunset prayer (Performed just after sun is no longer visible on the horizon).
5. Isha: Evening prayer (Performed when sunlight is no longer visible in the sky until midnight).
Its strongly suggested that you designate a notebook specifically for this course and to designate specific days and times for it as well.
